This week at Kumeyaay…

Parent/Teacher Conferences (Half Days) - Monday, November 14th through Friday, November 18th are half days for parent/teacher conferences. School will dismiss at 11:45 p.m. on these days.

Choice Application Deadline - Due on Monday, November 14th

Recycling Program - Monday, November 14th, Bring your cans and bottles to school on Monday. Drop-off will be in the front of the school near the flagpole. Glass bottles may be brought to recycle, however, glass is not allowed on the school site.

Fall into Healthy Habits - Tuesday, November 15th, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. This is an exciting Serra Cluster event to teach healthy habits to Serra Cluster families. Please refer to the flyer on our Peach Jar, which may be found on the Kumeyaay Elementary home page.

Picture Make-up Day - Tuesday, November 15th, 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Kumeyaay Library

Parent Involvement Day Picnic - Thursday, November 17th. Lunch times will be: 11:05-11:25 (3rd,4th and 5th) 11:25-11:45 (TK/K,1st and 2nd grades). If you do not bring your own lunch or did not pre-order Jersey Mike’s for this picnic, parents can also buy lunch at the school cafeteria for $3.50.

Gourmet Coffee Cart - Beginning Friday, November 18th - Grab your morning coffee while dropping off your kids and benefit the school!  Beginning November 18th we’ll have a gourmet coffee cart on campus EVERY FRIDAY morning and 10% of the cart earnings will go to the Kumeyaay Foundation. (Do not use the drop off circle if you would like to buy coffee.)

The APEX Fun Run was a success! Our students had an awesome day of running, and we thank you for your support. Please remember to pay your pledge at, or you may send cash or a check in the APEX collection envelope. An email will also be sent from APEX with this information.

We look forward to seeing you at Kumeyaay for Parent Involvement Day. Please complete the Parent Involvement Day survey, so we may determine our school lunch counts. You are also welcome to order lunch from Jersey Mike’s. This service is being offered to parents through the Kumeyaay Foundation.
